The title of this song is a reference to a Jim Morrison poem I was fond of at the time. I actually had a band called The Joints of Time, which was hilariously bad. In any case, this is me trying to be rebellious and mystical.
lyrics
C’mon people and cut with me
The old throats of authority
Maybe you don’t see how they’ve made you crawl
I’m gonna kill you all
Life would be complete
And we’d be puzzled and discreet
If we had a place to be deranged
We’d be so strange
We’d be dancing in the moon
Surrounded by the ruins
Then we’d try and die and kill the pain
We’d be so strange
Licking trees and eating days
Sick melons of time
Running guns within subway beige
Happiness & flatulence
People drop your knives and stop a train
We can rule the world with liquid brains
Someday when we dance within the grim sunshine
I’ll watch you from the joints of time
C’mon people and cut with me
The old throats of authority
Maybe you don’t see how they’ve made you crawl
I’m gonna kill you all
